Exercise 4:

Journey back to heaven to learn how God wants you to serve Him

Each exercise takes about 15 minutes

Relaxing doesn’t come easy.  I suggest you go through the first exercise several times before moving on to the others.

The first exercise helps you to notice the difference between tension and relaxation.  Don’t be discouraged if you don’t feel relaxed at first.  It can take a while to learn.  And don’t worry about doing them ‘right’, just have a go and let them happen.  Doing them frequently does usually help.

Choose somewhere where you will not be disturbed.  Put a ‘Do not disturb’ sign on the door if necessary.  Switch off the phone.  It’s harder to relax if you’re hungry or have just eaten, or if the room is too hot or cold.

It’s best to breath through your nose.  By placing your hand on your stomach you will feel it rise as you breathe in and fall when you breathe out.  Breath slowly and regularly.

Finally, don’t listen to the exercises while driving.
